Calling a plumber after failing to fix my own plumbing

I truthfully thought it would be self-explanatory to update the shower head in the master kitchen plus bathroom… The hardware that came with the shower head was just a couple of screws; it truthfully seemed as if it was a straightforward process to install the current shower head.

I watched a couple of videos online plus I was convinced that I could handle that job on our own without the help of a licensed plumbing corporation.

I begin by putting some towels down on the floor just in case there was a small amount of water leakage. I then unaffixed the cover from the shower head plus I started to remove the plumbing, but none of the videos told myself and others to shut off the water first. I did not realize that was crucial until water was spraying all over the bathroom. The walls were wet plus so was the flooring. The venue looks akin to a disaster. Thankfully the main shut off for the water is inside of our house. I shut off the water plus called a plumbing corporation. I told the person on the phone that I tried to repair the problem on our own with genuinely little success. The woman on the phone told myself and others not to worry, because she would send a plumbing corporation as swiftly as possible. I watched the corporation remove the shower fixtures plus update them, then other than shutting off the water, I knew exactly what I was doing. I would have been able to complete the job with ease if I had known to shut off the main water line first.
